Today I spoke with Jake Luhrs, lead singer of the metalcore band August Burns Red. In our chat, we talked about how the band has been going strong for over two decades as well as how the band's sound has evolved from "Thrill Seeker" (1st album) to "Season of Surrender (most recent release). Luhrs talks about how he's further developed as a vocalist and how the band's return to Fearless Records is like coming home. August Burns Red will soon embark on a fall tour with Underoath, Atreyu, and As Cities Burn; they also have big plans for Christmas Burns Red in December. Today, rising Fayetteville, Arkansas singer-songwriter Sawyer Hill has released his debut album, "Everybody’s Home, Nobody’s Happy." The 11-track collection marks a major new chapter for Hill, bringing together the songs and experiences that have defined his rapid rise while showcasing his signature grit, swagger and incredible voice in full force. In this interview at Outside Lands in San Francisco, CA, Hill talks about what inspired his songwriting and what success looks like in 2026. |
