Amerakin Overdose Debuts New Single, ‘Time Bomb,’ Video; Announces New Live Dates

Amerakin Overdose unveiled its latest single and video this week.
The band premiered its new single, ‘Time Bomb,’ and the song’s companion video Friday. The masked metal outfit’s latest single presents a heavy, melodic hard rock edge that is easily comparable to works from the likes of fellow theatrical rock act, Mushroomhead even with the more melodic lean in mind.
The song’s lyrical theme is a topic to which every listener can relate, as explained by vocalist Cody Perez. “‘Time Bomb’ is a raw exploration of the internal war we fight when pressure, trauma, and expectation collide,” said Perez. “The song lives inside the mind of someone running on an invisible clock, holding everything together while feeling dangerously close to unraveling. Thoughts go unspoken, emotions stay buried, and the past becomes the only thing others seem to recognize, even as the real self remains unseen beneath the surface.”

Perez added, “As the verses unfold, opposing forces clash: angel and devil, saint and sinner, love and hate. These contradictions represent the constant voices in the head—judgment, temptation, righteousness, and rage—each pulling for control. Every setback, every unaddressed wound, adds weight, tightening the fuse and feeding the growing urge to finally snap.”

The song’s video captures the noted statement as it shows a handful of scenarios in which the key figure reaches that breaking point and snaps after having held it all together for such a long time.
In other news, Amerakin Overdose has a handful of live performances scheduled for this spring. Tickets are available here. The noted dates are listed below:
