Mudvayne and Hellyeah front man Chad Gray’s upcoming concert event has been moved to a new venue. Only a day after announcing his “30 Years of Madness” concert event featuring music of Hellyeah and Mudvayne, the concert, scheduled to take place Apr. 24, sold out and now has been forced to move to a larger venue. The announcement was made late Saturday. Grey commented on the move in a prepared statement. “Well Metal kids I figured that Backstage Bar and billiards would sell out and eventually we would move the show to the bigger room (Fremont Country club) next door. But before I went to bed on the day I announced the show? Didn’t see that coming but it did come and now it’s gone! … So now I can say with great confidence…that this thing is gonna sell the fuck out!,” said Gray.l “Maybe before I go to bed tonight! There are no bigger rooms to move to so this is it Metal Kids. I am so Happy that I’m gonna have the opportunity to do this with all of you. All of me, all of you celebrating all of the songs from both bands. Pretty cool right? I just wanna say thank you in advance for giving me the opportunity to do this. You all have made my career happen and I love you more than I could ever express. But I’ll give it a shot on April 24th. Just a jam packed sweaty ass room with my Metal Family. What more is there? Let’s geaux!” Tickets for the expanded concert venue are available here. Amerakin Overdose unveiled its latest single and video this week. The band premiered its new single, ‘Time Bomb,’ and the song’s companion video Friday. The masked metal outfit’s latest single presents a heavy, melodic hard rock edge that is easily comparable to works from the likes of fellow theatrical rock act, Mushroomhead even with the more melodic lean in mind. The song’s lyrical theme is a topic to which every listener can relate, as explained by vocalist Cody Perez. “‘Time Bomb’ is a raw exploration of the internal war we fight when pressure, trauma, and expectation collide,” said Perez. “The song lives inside the mind of someone running on an invisible clock, holding everything together while feeling dangerously close to unraveling. Thoughts go unspoken, emotions stay buried, and the past becomes the only thing others seem to recognize, even as the real self remains unseen beneath the surface.” Perez added, “As the verses unfold, opposing forces clash: angel and devil, saint and sinner, love and hate. These contradictions represent the constant voices in the head—judgment, temptation, righteousness, and rage—each pulling for control. Every setback, every unaddressed wound, adds weight, tightening the fuse and feeding the growing urge to finally snap.” The song’s video captures the noted statement as it shows a handful of scenarios in which the key figure reaches that breaking point and snaps after having held it all together for such a long time. In other news, Amerakin Overdose has a handful of live performances scheduled for this spring. Tickets are available here. The noted dates are listed below: See Amerakin Overdose Blow Shit Up Live 3/28/2026 – Fernley, NV – InFERNo Music & Fire Festival 7/18/2026 – Cadott, WI – Rock Fest 8/15/2026 – Sonora, CA – Black Bomb Metal Fest 13 + More TBA More information on Amerakin Overdose’s new single, video and upcoming concerts is available along with all of the band’s latest news at: Website: https://amerikanoverdoseband.com Facebook: https://facebook.com/americanoverdose Twitter: https://twitter.com/amerikin_od Death Dealer’s latest album, Reign of Steel dropped Friday. In celebration of its release, the band also premiered the lyric video for the album’s latest single, ‘Riding on The Wings.’ The video places the song’s lyrics over a backdrop of fighter aces doing battle in the skies during World War II. The pairing would seem to hint at the song centering on said topic. This as no information regarding the song’s lyrical theme was presented in the news release announcing the video’s premiere. The song’s musical arrangement is a composition that will easily appeal to fans of the vintage heavy metal sounds of bands, such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and others of that ilk. ‘Riding on the Wings’ is the hird single from Reign of Steel. The album has also produced the singles, ‘Bloodbath‘ and ‘Blast The Highway.’ As with ‘Riding on the Wings,’ ‘Bloodbath’ is also centered on World War II. More specifically, it tells the tragic story of the sinking of the U.S.S. Indianapolis and the fate of its sailors. More information on Death Dealer’s new single and album is available along with all of the band’s latest news at: Website: https://www.deathdealermetal.com Pop Evil’s 2025 album What Remains is getting renewed attention. The band announced Friday through a news release, the record is set for re-issue March 27 with two bonus tracks, ‘The Decay’ and a cover of Simple Minds’ timeless classic, ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me).’ In anticipation of the re-issue, the band premiered the prior and its companion video Friday. The video features something of a Pompeii type setting, as a group of people turned to stone stand in front of a volcano, which is spewing lava. The new single plays over the visual in the meantime. As the presentation progresses and nears its finale, the stone covering those people eventually shatters and light breaks through across the landscape from each person. The band explained the song’s lyrical theme in a prepared statement. “In a world full of pain, lies, distractions, and half-truths, how easy is it to swallow venom dressed up as medicine without recognizing the damage being done?,” the statement reads. “The choice to help or to hurt is ours. This song is raw, uncomfortable, and honest, an invitation to face the darkness, accept responsibility, and choose to make a difference while you still have time.” Understanding that statement, the song’s video makes more sense. As people are encased in the hard outer shell, that shell is the darkness. The shell breaking is us facing the darkness, breaking out, and making a collective difference. That is just this critic’s interpretation. The song’s musical arrangement is another solid fit for the album’s body. That is exhibited through the composition’s overall melodic hard rock approach and its infectious choruses. The rich production that went into the song makes it all the more engaging and entertaining. The momentum never fully lets up, creating a constant sense of pressure and escalation as the conflict intensifies. The bridge and solo serve as a decisive breaking point, delivering a moment of total impact that feels irreversible. Afterward, the song briefly pulls back into a controlled, crushing outro, where the chaos settles into acceptance rather than resolution. The conflict may never truly end, but the decision to stop fighting becomes final. Lyrically, the track captures the realization that moving on is not about winning or closure, but survival. It reflects the moment when walking away becomes the only way forward. “I was working on music when my girlfriend came into the room and completely set me off. As soon as she walked out, the song basically wrote itself. All that tension and frustration went straight into the track.” - Matt Smith Known for blending modern hard rock aggression with emotionally charged songwriting, CHEMICAL EMPIRE continues to sharpen it's sound while refusing to dilute the message. “This Isn’t Gonna End This War” delivers a relentless sonic punch, pairing stadium-sized hooks with an underground edge that speaks directly to fans who crave authenticity and intensity. BAND BIO: CHEMICAL EMPIRE is an alternative metal project created by Matt Smith, built around fast, heavy music and emotionally driven songwriting. The project explores the darker realities of life, drawing from real experiences with conflict, isolation, and personal collapse. Blending relentless aggression with controlled dynamics, CHEMICAL EMPIRE'S sound is intense and purposeful, balancing chaos with clarity. Lyrically, the music confronts toxic cycles, fractured relationships, and the realization that survival sometimes means moving forward rather than fighting back. Rooted in honesty and emotional weight, CHEMICAL EMPIRE delivers heavy music that resonates with listeners who have lived through their own battles. The release marks another bold step forward for the band, reinforcing their reputation as a rising force in the rock scene—unapologetic, unfiltered, and unwilling to back down. “This Isn’t Gonna End This War” is available now on all major streaming platforms. Shallow Side premiered the video for its latest single this week. The band unveiled the video for its new single, ‘No One Wins’ Thursday. The song is taken from the band’s 2024 album, Reflections. Directed by J.T. Ibanez, the video features front man Eric Boatright in a handful of semi-claustrophobic settings as he sings seemingly, about a mental health concern. This is inferred as Boatright sings, I think a look in the mirror is what I fear most/Reflecting all of the sickness undiagnosed/A parasite that’s made me its host/And maybe they don’t make a cure for me/I keep on searching for happiness/But it’s just not happening/I tell myself I’ll figure it out/I play pretend with my halo/But I’m not OK, though/And in the end/No one wins.” If this is not a person battling his or her own demons, then it is anyone’s guess what is. The seeming inference continues as Boatright adds in the song’s second verse, “I feel like I’m so contagious and losing control/Reading words from the pages my father wrote/Falling further away from hope/And maybe there just ain’t no cure for me.” He concludes in the song’s third and final verse, “I knew I’d be on my own/Lost and all alone/Hoping for my chance/But in the end/No one wins.” Again, this is a scenario to which plenty of listeners will relate. It is that turbulent internal battle that so many people fight daily. The song’s musical arrangement is comparable to works from the likes of Another Day Dawns and Saul (which sadly only recently disbanded). It is an interesting arrangement considering the seemingly contemplative nature of the song’s lyrical content. ‘No One Wins,’ is the fourth single from Reflections. The album also produced the singles, ‘The Worst Kind,’ ‘You’re The Reason’ and ‘Filters.’ ‘Filters’ features a guest appearance by Nonpoint vocalist Elias Soriano. In other news, Shallow Side launched a new tour Thursday in Crowley, LA. The first leg of the band’s tour is scheduled to run through Jan. 25 in Bonaire, GA, with a festival show following Feb. 7 in Ladysmith, WI. The tour’s second leg, which will find the band supporting No Resolve, is scheduled to launch Feb. 10 in St. Paul, MN. The band’s run alongside No Resolve is scheduled to run through Feb. 27 in Flint, MI. That concert is already sold out. A trio of headlining shows March 13-15 rounds out the band’s upcoming live dates in Battle Creek, MI; Richmond, KY and Huntington, WV respectively. The tour’s schedule is noted below. The band premiered Wednesday, what it is saying is the final single from the band’s self-titled record in the form of ‘Puppet Parade.’ It follows three other singles, ‘I Don’t Care,’ ‘Tipping Point‘ and the album’s most recently released single, ‘Let There Be Shred.‘ Front man and founder Dave Mustaine discussed the song’s lyrical theme in a prepared statement. “‘Puppet Parade’ is about somebody’s mundane life and how they go through life with everyday being the same as the day before,” said Mustaine. “It is about a person who has a dead-end job, a dead-end relationship, a dead-end life. Many of us are going through this monotony, even right now. I wanted to share ‘Puppet Parade’ to try and illustrate how we often show people what we want them to see, instead of how we really feel.” The song’s musical arrangement is, interestingly a good pairing with that theme, considering that it is so familiar. It is not the high-energy thrash that audiences have come to expect from Megadeth. Instead it is quite familiar territory and so far, the most radio friendly track on this record. Megadeth is scheduled for release Friday. The band will launch a tour in support of the album Feb. 15 in Victoria, BC. The first string of dates will take the band across Canada through March 6 in Quebec City, QC. The forthcoming tour includes stops scheduled in Calgary AB; Saskatoon, SK and Moncton, NB. Megadeth will be joined by some well-known friends for its up coming Canadian run. Exodus and Anthrax will join the tour as special guests. The tour’s schedule is noted below: MEGADETH’s Canadian tour dates are as follows: Sunday, February 15, 2026 Victoria, BC Save On Foods Memorial Centre Tuesday, February 17, 2026 Abbotsford, BC Rogers Forum Wednesday, February 18, 2026 Kelowna, BC Prospera Place Friday, February 20, 2026 Calgary, AB Scotiabank Saddledome Saturday, February 21, 2026 Edmonton, AB Rogers Place Tuesday, February 24, 2026 Saskatoon, SK SaskTel Centre Wednesday, February 25, 2026 Winnipeg, MB Canada Life Centre Saturday, February 28, 2026 London, ON Canada Life Place Sunday, March 1, 2026 Ottawa, ON Canadian Tire Centre Tuesday, March 3, 2026 Halifax, NS Scotiabank Centre Wednesday, March 4, 2026 Moncton, NB Avenir Centre Friday, March 6, 2026 Québec City, QC Videotron CentreMore information on Megadeth’s new tour schedule is available along with all of the band’s latest news at: Website: https://megadeth.com Facebook: https://facebook.com/megadeth Twitter: https://twitter.com/megadeth Fozzy will head back out on the road this spring. The band made the announcement Wednesday through a news release. According to the document, the band’s tour, dubbed the “Twisted Faith 2026 Tour,” is scheduled to launch May 7 in Daytona, FL and to run through May 16 in Flint, MI. The tour includes stops in cities, such as Charlotte, NC; Columbus, OH and St. Charles, IL. Spineshank, Flaw, and Who On Earth will share time as support for the upcoming tour. While Fozzy released is most recent album, Boombox in 2022, the band released its latest single, ‘Fall in Line‘ last summer. Audiences can be assured the band will perform that song and many others at each concert. Some of the band’s most radio ready work to date, it is easily comparable, in regard to its musical arrangement, to more recent works from the likes of Pop Evil, with hints of Skillet thrown in for good measure. The song’s lyrical theme is clearly a familiar statement about celebrating one’s individuality. This is a theme that is just as welcome here as in so many rock and hard rock songs. The pairing of the message to the song’s infectious musical arrangement makes the song in whole another welcome addition to the band’s catalog. The schedule for Fozzy’s new tour is noted below.
