By: Philip Sayblack Reunited and it feels so good is the line for August Burns Red and Fearless Records. The band has signed a new record deal with the label, returning the group to the label’s artist roster, after releasing its most recent album — Death Below (2023) — through Sharptone. Prior to its release, the three records that preceded it — Guardians, Phantom Anthem, and Found in Far Away Places — had been released through Fearless Records. To mark the new deal, whose details were not announced, the band debuted its new single, ‘Behemoth‘ and the song’s companion video Friday. Guitarist JB Brubaker discussed the song in a prepared statement. “‘Behemoth’ is a song that probably went through more revisions and changes than any song we’ve ever written,” said Brubaker. “While frustrating at times, the conversations and re-writes were worth the effort as we collectively feel very proud of how this song turned out. I believe it’s one of the heaviest and most raw songs we’ve ever delivered.” Front man Jake Luhrs addressed the song’s lyrical theme in his own comments. “Lyrically, ‘Behemoth’ speaks about the realization of past pains living through present actions in life,” said Luhrs. “With the determination to face this reality, a process of healing and breaking old ways leads to a rebirth. It’s about cutting the ties to your past, giving it no space to live in the present, and inevitably, changing the course of your life.” In other news, August Burns Red also has a spring tour planned for this spring alongside The Amity Affliction. Scheduled to kick off Apr. 10 in Worchester, MA and to run through May 17 in Philadelphia, PA, the tour will see support from Boundaries and Heavensgate.
