Bastion Rose Releases New Album’s Second Single, ‘Bones’

Independent rock act Bastion Rose is giving audiences a new preview of its sophomore album.
The band, Monday, debuted its latest single, ‘Bones.’ The song is the second single from its forthcoming sophomore album, Blue Rising.’ the band premiered the record’s lead single, ‘Dust,’ last month. The news release announcing the debut of the band’s new single did not provide information regarding a release date for the band’s new album or any other information regarding the record.
The musical arrangement featured in ‘Bones’ is easily comparable to works from the likes of Theory of a Deadman and Nickelback. It is a clear change of sound and style in comparison to that featured in ‘Dust.’ The musical arrangement featured in ‘Dust’ is more of a melodic rock type of composition.
The lyrical theme featured in ‘Bones’ presents its own motivating message that listeners will find familiar and welcome.
Front man Austin Frink discussed the song’s lyrical theme in a prepared statement.

“There are songs that I have written over the years that have taken control of me. Possessed me,” said Frink. “I couldn’t put them down until they were finished. I couldn’t get them out of my mind for more than a minute or two until the full song materialized. “It’s about the grind—something in your bones—tells you that you need to survive. It’s a song to help you keep pushing forward through the rain, even when it feels like there is nothing left to give.”
Bastion Rose released its debut album, Traces of Gold, in 2025 and its debut EP, Fade to Blue in 2024. Both records were released through Epictronic, according to information provided via discogs.com.
