The band announced Thursday through a news release, it will release its new album, Social Apocalypse March 19 via Spinefarm Records. In anticipation of the album’s release, the band premiered the album’s lead single and title track Thursday. The song. which is also the album’s opener, was accompanied by a video. The musical arrangement in ‘Social Apocalypse’ is a solid melodic hard rock composition that is sure to keep audiences engaged and entertained. The song’s lyrical theme is clearly the band’s own two cents on the ongoing issue of social media’s negative impact on the world. This is especially illustrated through the song’s video, which finds a handful of people being dominated by social media and the shocking negative effect thereof. By: Philip Sayblack Motorhead’s 1986 album, Orgasmatron, is getting new life. In honor of the 40th anniversary of the album’s release, BMG will re-issue the album Nov. 6. The forthcoming re-issue will be available on separate 3LP bookpack and 2CD set featuring the album’s remastered original mix and remix. That content will be complimented by the inclusion of studio rehearsal and outtake audio recorded during the album’s sessions. Additionally, the complete BBC 1 radio Friday Rock Show session from 1986 will be included in the re-issue. Pre-orders are open. A statement from the Motorhead team discusses the album’s significance. “Orgasmatron is a special album,” the statement reads. “Part of that is down to the stylized production of Bill Laswell, who approached the work from a unique perspective. Bill’s work stands in its own right as something special in the Motörhead library, and Orgasmatron stands as one hell of an album. However, there was some controversy in the sense that both Lemmy and Phil Campbell felt that some of the power, bite and energy had been lost in Laswell’s final delivery.” The statement adds, “As old-school Motörhead fans, we found ourselves sitting around the coffee table one night several months ago, drinks in hand, pondering what Orgasmatron would sound like if it were to be remixed by Motörhead’s longtime producer, Cameron Webb. Cameron helmed six studio albums, and it’s fair to say he had the trust, love — and grumbles too! — of Lem, Phil and Mikkey. Would it be ‘right’ to ask him if he wanted a crack at remixing Orgasmatron? Would it be disrespecting the original album if we were to offer such a thing alongside Bill’s original work? We concluded a big fat ‘no’! It would be an added adventure if people wanted to take it. So we asked Cameron if he was up for it. And he screamed a rather enthusiastic ‘yes’!” Motorhead’s eighth album, Orgasmatron was released in July 1875 by GWR Records. The record was the band’s first to feature two guitarists, Phil Campbell and Michael Burston. The albums ‘forthcoming re-issue will be at least its third re-issue. It was previously re-issued in 1996 via Castle Communications and then again in 2006 via Sanctuary Records. The band announced Friday through a news release, it will drop its new album, Mothers of Thunder, Feb. 5 via Napalm Records. In anticipation of the album’s release, the band is giving audiences a preview of the record in the form of the new single, ‘Bimbo Boost’ and the song’s companion video. The song’s musical arrangement is a straight forward presentation that everyone has come to expect from Thunder Mother what with its straight forward guitar rock approach. The AC/DC comparison is once again on full display, with the song still maintaining its own identity. According to information in the provided news release, the guitar riff at the song’s heart is actually that of Deep Purple’s timeless song, ‘Smoke on the Water,’ just played in reverse. Lyrically, the song is hard hitting, making fun of all the fake women out there and the culture that has led to the belief that women are supposed to be a certain way. The band commented on that obvious theme with a collective statement. ”It’s damn hard being a woman.” the statement reads. “We have to do our makeup, straighten our hair, reverse aging, and always look our best. It’s exhausting. We wish we had a magic guitar booster pedal that instantly did all of that for us! We love making fun music videos, and this time we went bananas!” That commentary is enhanced through the song’s video, which clearly pokes fun at the classic video for Robert Palmer’s single, ‘Addicted to Love.’ It presents the band in those familiar tight dresses with fake blond wigs while making jokes about that noted view of how women are supposed to look and act even on stage. The musical arrangement featured in ‘Light in the Dark’ is full on power metal. The track, which is featured on the band’s upcoming third studio album "Retaliate" Shaun Glass, the founding member and driving force behind REPENTANCE, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2026. Following his tragic death, the band decided to postpone the release of "Retaliate" from its originally scheduled summer release to November 27, out of respect for their brother, friend, and bandmate. The two sides premiered the update take of the song this past Friday. The first single from the band’s most recent album, 2025’s Legends. The change from the original single is clear right from the opening of this update. The band’s familiar power metal lean is still there, primarily in the choruses but the verses, which see Kakatay adding his vocal talents, give the song more of a melodic rock approach. The band made the announcement Friday through a news release. The album, Voodoo Ranger, is scheduled for release Jan. 8 through Reigning Phoenix Music. The album will be the band’s 20th and will be part of the band’s 40th anniversary. In anticipation of the album’s release the band also premiered its lead single, ‘I’ll Die Trying‘ over the weekend. The song is a ballad very much in the vein of some of Ozzy Osbourne’s more emotional songs. Next to ‘Movin’ On,’ it is the album’s only other softer song. The rest of the 12-song record is far more energetic. According to provided information, the song’s lyrical theme is a “ballad about perseverance self-belief and staying true to your path.” Udo Dirkschneider, the band’s namesake and front man discussed the song’s theme in a prepared statement. “‘I’ll Die Trying’ is one of the most personal songs on Voodoo Ranger,” said Dirkschneider. “It’s about never giving up, believing in yourself and always moving forward, no matter what life throws at you. The last verse especially means a lot to me because it reflects what I’ve experienced on stage for so many years. Every concert is a special moment and as long as people want to hear me sing, I’ll keep giving everything I’ve got. According to a news release distributed Tuesday, the label will re-issue UFO’s 1982 album, Mechanix Dec. 4. The record will be reissued separately on 3LP vinyl pressing and 2CD digipack. Originally released in February 1982 via Repetoire Records, Mechanix would be the last on which bassist Peter Way would record. He left the band after the record’s supporting tour to join Fastway alongside Eddie Clarke (ex-Motorhead). The record peaked at No. 8 on the UK albums chart. The forthcoming re-issue will be at least the second for the album, as it was also re-issued in 2009, also via Chrysalis Records. The latest re-issue features a previously unreleased mix of the band’s Jan. 28, 1982 performance at the Hammersmith Odeon. The concert recording was restored by producer Brian Kehew. Additionally, the re-issue will feature new liner notes penned by Micheal Hann that include interviews with the band members and previously unreleased photos.
