Evergrey Announces New Album Details

Evergrey will release its latest album this summer.
The band announced Thursday through a news release, it is scheduled to release its 15th album, Architects of a New Weave June 5 through Napalm Records. The record will be the band’s third for its current label home and will come approximately two years after the release of its then latest album, Theories of Emptiness.

Front man Tom Englund said in a prepared statement, the band is very excited about this record.
“We’ve literally never had this much trouble picking singles,” said Englund. “And honestly? That’s the best problem we could possibly have. Every song on this record is fighting to be the one you hear first—because we poured everything into making an album we’re flat-out obsessed with. Like always there are no fillers, no compromises, just twelve tracks we’re stupidly proud of and will be for the rest of our lives. Pre-order the album now and join the weave!”
According to the news release announcing the details for the new album, it boasts standout songs, such as ‘The World is On Fire,’ ‘Leaving The Emptiness,’ ‘Heaven’ and ‘The Prophecy.’ The album also features a guest vocal performance by Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquility, The Halo Effect, Grand Cadaver, Cemetery Skyline) on ‘A burning Flame.’
The record will be released on a variety of platforms, one being a deluxe edition that includes a bonus album that includes the bonus tracks, ‘Height’ and ‘One Heart’ as well as an album mix of the previously released standalone single, ‘Oxygen.’ Additionally, the bonus album features a demo cut of ‘Longing,’ an instrumental take of ‘Leaving The Emptiness’ and a live recording of ‘Falling From The Sun.’ That song was included in Theories of Emptiness. One more extra in the deluxe edition’s bonus album is a “continuation” of the song, ‘Ominous,’ from the band’s 2022 album, A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Testament).

In other news, Evergrey will launch an expansive tour in support of its new album this spring. The tour’s first leg is scheduled to kick off Apr. 25-26 at the Bangers Open Air Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil. From there an Australian tour will follow, spanning Apr. 28-May 3.
A performance May 8 at the Media One Hotel in Dubai will follow the band’s Australian tour. After that, a series of other festival performances across Europe will also follow, ending June 27 at Rockstadt Extreme Fest in Chirmbay, Uzbekistan.
The band will kick off the North American leg of its tour Sept. 11 at another festival, the PowerProg Festival, in Atlanta, GA. The band’s performance will be as headliner. From there, the band will join Hammerfall on its headlining run beginning Sept. 12 in Raleigh, NC.
