Iron Savior Signs New Record Deal; Announces New Album Details, Debuts LP’s Lead Single

Iron Savior has a new label home, new album on the way, and a new single..
The band announced Friday through a news release, it has joined Frontiers Music s.r.l. According to the document, the band will release its first album for the label (and its 16th overall) Nov. 13 in the form of Deathbringer.
According to information provided in the news release, Deathbringer is a science-fiction concept record spanning 12 songs (and a 13th bonus song that is a Judas Priest cover). The story at the center of Deathbringer focuses on an evil insectoid race known as “The Shadows.” After 200 years of peace, The Shadows have returned aboard a ship, The Deathbringer, with its queen. The queen “has preserved the last remnants of her species inside an eternal digital hive – sustained by the life force of countless worlds.” Now it is up to the Iron Savior and an intergalactic alliance to stop The Shadows.
Deathbringer was produced, mixed, and mastered by Sielck.
In anticipation of the album’s release the band premiered the record’s lead single, ‘Back From the Fires of Hell’ the same day. He said the song has a connection of sorts to another of its songs, ‘Through The Fires of Hell,’ which is part of the band’s 2023 album, Firestar.
Front man Piet Sielck discussed the song in a prepared statement.
“I wrote the first lyrics before I received my cancer diagnosis… Then poetry turned into bitter reality… Although in a different way than I had originally imagined”, he said. “We went through this together… ‘Through The Fires Of Hell’ is therefore more like poetry dedicated to my wife, while ‘Back From The Fires Of Hell’ is more of a reflection on actual events.”
The musical arrangement featured in ‘Back From the Fires of Hell’ is an aggressive composition in regard to its energy. The blending of the guitars, the powerful vocals and even some keyboard elements conjure thoughts of what would happen if the best elements of Judas Priest and Dragonforce were joined.
The song’s companion visualizer plays the new single against a picture of a hooded figure and a female warrior while flames burn behind the pair. The couple would seemingly be Sielck and his wife as he noted the pair’s journey through his battle with cancer. It makes for an interesting visual to accompany Sielck’s comments and the song’s lyrics.
Along with discussing the new single, Sielck also addressed the band’s joining the Frontiers s.r.l. roster.
“I’m extremely excited to announce that Iron Savior has joined the Frontiers Music family,” said Sielck. “After all these years in the metal world, it feels truly special to start this new journey with a new partner by our side. Even more special is the fact that this step also means reconnecting with longtime friends and companions from the past – people I have shared many years of musical experiences with and who share the same passion for honest, powerful heavy metal.”
Sielck continued, “With Frontiers behind us, we are looking forward to celebrating 30 years of Iron Savior and the release of our new album, with great energy and excitement, and a lot more to come with Frontiers by our side”, he added. “A huge thank you to all the fans who have supported Iron Savior throughout the years. Deathbringer will come less than a year after the release of the band’s most recent studio recording, its covers collection, Awesome Anthems of the Galaxy. That album was released in March through Perception.
