Members include JJ Roetting on vox & strings, Joe Payne on strings & backup vox, Adam Pacheco on drums, and Jon Doe who fills in occasionally on drums or strings & backup vox. The band plays an eerie dystopian tsunami of eclectic and traditional punk music fused with pop punk. Influences include Black Flag, Ramones, Misfits, Sonic Youth, Fugazi, Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion, Agent Orange, and more. There is no “H” in JON Q PUBLIC. JON Q PUBLIC should not to be confused with the Christian rock group Johnny Q. Public, and has never released music titled "Feel The Bern". JON Q PUBLIC'S debut album was released July 18, 2025. “Crackheads Boxing Club & the Split Decision” was written, recorded, and produced by JJ Roetting & Jairo Muñoz. The album features backup vocals from Joe Queer and percussion from Hoglog Rehab - both from legendary punk band The Queers. JON Q PUBLIC'S new self titled album, “Jon Q Public”, is scheduled for release later in 2026.
