Oddko Enlists Orgy For Update To His Single, ‘Siren Song’

​Electronic artist Oddko has partnered with the members of Orgy for a new version of his single, ‘Siren Song.’
Originally released roughly three years ago, the new updated take of the single is a distinct change of sound and style for the song. Where the original take is laden with some electronics, there are also some symphonic elements in that rendition. This new take by comparison replaces those symphonic elements with more layers of keyboards and electronics, which is a trademark of Orgy’s sound. It is an approach that Orgy’s fans will appreciate just as much as those of Oddko (whose real name is Giovanni Bucci).
The song’s lyrical theme about people’s greed is put straight to audiences in the lyrics. Bucci addressed the message in a prepared statement.
“’Siren Song’ is an observation on how our society has been tricked into believing that accumulating products equals a better life,” said Bucci. “We have been deceived into constantly buying, often products deliberately built to break or wear out, trapping us in a cycle of repurchasing while waste piles up. That system drains not only our money but our time and lives. The title comes from the Greek myth of Odysseus and the Sirens, symbols of distraction and deception that eerily mirror modern commercialism.”
Bucci continued, “After hearing this track, I hope people ask themselves: Do I really need this, and how many working hours of my life do I have to give up for it? That simple line of questioning can save your wallet, your life, and the environment.”
Orgy front man Jay Gordon added his own comments to the discussion.
“We are surrounded by pretty lies with a price tag,” said Gordon. “Siren Song is a reminder to stop feeding the machine.”
