By: Philip Sayblack Poison the Well debuted the video for its latest single this week. The band unveiled the video for its new single, ‘Everything Hurts‘ Wednesday. The video is an intriguing presentation that finds front man Jeffrey Moreira making his way along a city street, getting a beard trim, and hanging out with his band mates as the song plays over the visualization. Meanwhile his band mates are on stage in an intimate club setting performing as Moreira makes his way through the story. As noted in the news release announcing the new premiere, :The song hones in on PTW’s patented and signature quiet/loud dynamics, and it’s a perfectly executed mix of moody and metallic.” Moreira discussed the song’s lyrical theme in a prepared statement. “‘Everything Hurts’ is about the patience and effort it takes to keep relationships alive,” said Moreira. “I care deeply about the people in my life, but even the people you love can be frustrating sometimes. And it’s important to remember that we can be just as frustrating to them. We all have our moments — and I have my moments too. The ones that stick around are the ones you have a unique connection with. You can’t put up with everyone’s shit, so the people you keep close are the ones whose shit you actually want to deal with.” ‘Everything Hurts’ is the second single produced by PTW’s forthcoming album, Peace in Place. The album is scheduled for release March 20 via Sharptone. It will be the band’s first new album in more than a dozen years. In other news, Poison the Well announced late last month, the schedule for an upcoming tour in support of its new album, which is scheduled to launch Apr. 2 in Cleveland, OH.
