Soulfly Premieres Latest LP’s Fourth Single, Video

​Soulfly has unveiled the video for the latest single from its most recent album.
The band premiered the video for its new single, ‘Favela/Dystopia’ Tuesday. The announcement was made Tuesday through a news release. The single is take from the band’s most recent album, Chama, which the band released in 2025 through Nuclear Blast Records.
Front man Max Cavalera discussed the unique visual presentation in a prepared statement, calling the visualization “Nightmare Before Christmas meets City of God.”
“This video showcases the struggles of Brazilians living in the favellas, with the thrash metal side of Soulfly’s Chama,” said Cavalera. Amazing animation by Matt Creeptoon!”
The musical arrangement featured in the song is familiar territory for Soulfly as the composition takes audiences back to Soulfly’s early days. The song’s lyrical theme is, as Cavalera noted, a commentary on life in certain regions of Brazil’s lower socioeconomic neighborhoods.
‘Favela/Dystopia’ is the fourth single to be spawned from Chama. The record has also produced the singles, ‘No Pain = No Power,’ ‘Nihilist‘ and ‘Storm The Gates.’
In other news, Soulfly is in the last leg of its tour alongside Gwar. The tour, which launched March 19 in Richmond, VA, is scheduled to wind down Apr. 29 in Charlotte, NC.
