By Philip Sayblack Swim The Current premiered its latest single over the weekend. The band unveiled its new single, ‘The Price We Pay‘ Friday. The song is an emotional ballad whose melodic strains make it an easy comparison to works from the likes of The Veer Union. It is a distinct change of sound and style from the band’s then most recent single, ‘Already Dead,’ which is far more likened to works from the likes of Hellyeah. Guitarist Joe Gareri said of the song’s lyrical theme, “The back story on this one is very personal. I had written the music as an instrumental the week my pup Kodi passed away. When George and Greg heard it, they asked if they could use the music for an STC song, and I agreed. The lyrics that George and Marcos wrote capture all the emotions of losing a loved one. It was the perfect marriage of music and lyrics,” More information on Swim The Current’s latest single is available along with all of the band’s latest news at: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SwimtheCurrent
