Thundermother Announces Details For New Live Recording; Releases Recording’s First Live Clip1/21/2026 By: Philip Sayblack Thundermother will release a new live recording this spring. The band announced Tuesday through a news release, it will release its new live recording, Live ‘n’ Alive, Apr. 17 digitally through Napalm Records. The record will come a little more than a year after the band released its latest studio recording, Dirty & Divine. In anticipation of the record’s release, the band has premiered a live clip of its performance of its song, ‘Whatever.‘ Guitarist Filippa Nassil discussed ‘Whatever’ in a prepared statement. “‘Whatever’ is dear to our hearts, as it’s a song we’ve played at every gig since its release in 2018,” said Nassil. “It’s one of my all-time favorite songs to perform. The live version differs from the studio recording, featuring a longer, four-on-the-floor guitar solo. The war against drugs continues—you don’t need drugs to be rock ’n’ roll, but you DO need adrenaline!” Nassil also discussed the band’s overall presentation, assuring audiences they can expect a real, pure performance in this concert recording. “It’s all live,” said Nassil. “We use no backing tracks like almost every band does today. We have made no overdubs or re-recording of instruments. It’s ALL live and rock’n’roll. Me on guitar, Majsan Lindberg on bass, Joan Massing on drums, and Linnéa Vikström on lead vox and rhythm guitars on some songs. Song order is not compromised, it’s our setlist of 2025, through and through. Hell yeah, this is how it’s done.” The track listing for Live ‘n’ Alive is noted below: Live’n’Alive tracklisting:
